Celebration of the South” is three days of music and munchies punctuated by a
massive market of 200 artists. Piedmont Park is expected to host more than 400,000 revelers the weekend of April 7 to 9. Welcome back the annual Disc Dog Southern Nationals and the Publix Kids Village, two widespread favorites. New this year is the Rhythm Tent, inviting guests to grab a percussion instrument and join in on a community drum circle.

Hang on to the Rainforest. If you have yet to see Rainforest
Adventures at the Center for Puppetry Arts, be sure to swing in before the show ends on April 9. This entertaining and educational look at the mystical creatures that inhabit the world’s rainforests delights the eyes and tickles the funny bone of both children and adults alike. Visual and vibrant, the entire stage teems with life as 30 exotic plants and animals slither, sneak, soar and swing thanks to the art of hand, hand-and-rod and body puppets.
