Walk this Way. Help raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by joining the Great Strides walk on May 17 at the Georgia Tech campus. All proceeds aid the foundation’s research to find a cure for the disease that threatens the lives of more than 30,000 Americans, such as local 4-year-old Elena Goodrow. Last year, Elena had 83 walkers on her team, and raised more than $18,000 for CF — this year, she hopes to create a team that’s more than 100-strong. Please visit www.cff.org/great_strides for more information; you can join or donate to Elena’s team by entering “Elena Goodrow” under “Find a Walker,” or create a team of your own.

Raise Your Glass to Charity. Don’t be surprised if you see the face of your favorite Braves player on a wine label — this month, Longball Cellars debuts three new charity wines in the Atlanta area with some all-star endorsements. All proceeds from the wines, which retail for approximately $13 per bottle after May 19 across the state, go to local charities: Tom Glavine’s Cabernet Glavingnon benefits CURE Children’s Cancer, Chipper Jones’ Chipper Chardonnay benefits The Miracle League and Brian McCann’s McCann Merlot benefits Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research.
