Give Me a Closet Filled With Shoes!

I’m a bit like Carrie Bradshaw when it comes to my passion for shoes. While I may not covet Jimmy Choos the way she does, I still swoon over Kate Spade, Stuart Weisman, Taryn Rose and Marc Jacobs, and when flipping through the pages of fashion magazines like Vogue and W, I often rip pages out in hopes of finding the shoes that seem to scream my name. But finding those shoes are not as easy as it would seem out here in the northern points of Atlanta. That is until a new Duluth boutique shoe store made it easier!

For Jacqueline Toulon it was that same passion for hard-to-find shoes that led her to open Monkees of Sugarloaf this year. Toulon often frequented a Monkees boutique when visiting her parents in North Carolina, stocking up on the shoes she couldn’t find in Atlanta. The intimate boutique is elegantly appointed, with warm yellow walls, crystal chandeliers, plush lounges and chairs, and oversized French Provencal-style white hutches serving as displays for the stylish collection of shoes that also includes names like Juicy Couture, Donald J Pliner, Cole Haan and Dolce Vita. A full range of accessories like belts, jewelry, hosiery and handbags round out the collection.
